Ghana’s Foreign Affairs Minister, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has assured Ghanaians living in South Africa that the government will do everything possible to bring them home safely following the recent xenophobic attacks.
Ablakwa said the government is closely monitoring the situation and remains committed to protecting the welfare of Ghanaian citizens affected by the violence.

The minister also stressed that the government’s support would not stop at evacuation, noting that efforts would be made to help returnees settle and rebuild their lives once they are back in Ghana.
His comments come as concerns grow over attacks targeting foreign nationals in parts of South Africa, leaving many migrants worried about their safety.
The minister urged affected Ghanaians to remain calm as authorities continue working to ensure their protection and safe return home.
