Real Madrid have completed the signing of Ivory Coast international Yan Diomande from RB Leipzig in a deal worth up to €140 million, with the 19-year-old winger signing a seven-year contract.
The transfer, reported by BBC Sport, makes Diomande one of the most expensive signings in the club’s history and could surpass the fee Real Madrid agreed to pay for Jude Bellingham in 2023.
The teenager attracted interest from several top European clubs after an impressive season in Germany. Paris Saint-Germain reportedly ended their pursuit after a €120 million bid was rejected, while Liverpool also failed with an initial £69 million offer.
Diomande becomes Real Madrid’s sixth signing of the summer under head coach Jose Mourinho, joining Bernardo Silva, Ibrahima Konaté, Denzel Dumfries, Marc Cucurella and Carlos Espi.

He joins the Spanish champions after being named Bundesliga Young Player of the Season, having scored 12 league goals and provided eight assists. Across all competitions, he recorded 13 goals and 10 assists.
The winger also featured in all four of Ivory Coast’s FIFA World Cup matches as the Elephants reached the quarter-finals.
Known for his pace, dribbling and versatility, Diomande is expected to strengthen Real Madrid’s attack ahead of the new season.
