Rivers Assembly to Screen Commissioner Nominees

The Rivers State House of Assembly has invited nominees for appointment as commissioners and members of the Rivers State Executive Council to submit the required documents ahead of their screening.

The development follows the dissolution of the State Executive Council by Governor Siminalayi Fubara.

In an announcement on Tuesday, the Assembly directed the nominees to provide forty (40) copies of their curriculum vitae, photocopies of their academic and professional qualifications, and evidence of tax compliance.

According to the statement, all documents must be submitted to the Office of the Clerk at the Rivers State House of Assembly Quarters in Port Harcourt. The announcement was signed by the Clerk of the House, Emeka Amadi.

Submission of the required credentials is a compulsory procedural step preceding the Assembly’s screening and confirmation of the nominees.
