Russian forces launched strikes against southeastern Zaporizhzhia on Tuesday, killing five people and wounding 20 others.

Regional military administration head Ivan Fedorov confirmed that the attack damaged industrial facilities, infrastructure, a garage cooperative, and residential buildings as casualty numbers rose.

Explosions also rattled Kyiv shortly after midnight after city authorities issued air raid warnings for approaching ballistic missiles.

Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported that emergency services responded to the capital’s Shevchenkivsky district, where at least one person suffered injuries.

The strikes follow warnings from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy that Moscow continues to bolster its four-year war effort with new ballistic missiles and additional troops from North Korea.
