Several people were injured in a shooting near Seattle’s iconic Space Needle on Sunday, according to police.

The Seattle Police Department said officers responded to reports of gunfire at the Seattle Center, a popular entertainment and cultural complex that includes the landmark.

“Shots fired at the Seattle Center,” police said in a post on X, adding that there were “multiple shooting victims.”

Authorities did not immediately disclose the number of victims or the severity of their injuries.

Police also did not say whether any suspects had been arrested, noting that more information would be released as the investigation progresses.

Emergency responders were deployed to the scene, while officers continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
