Nigeria’s Vice President, Kashim Shettima, representing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has officially commissioned the new Court of Appeal (Abuja Division) building in the country’s capital.
Shettima, commissioning the new facility on Monday, described it as a “beautiful edifice” built to strengthen Nigeria’s justice system and support the judiciary’s work.
The Vice President, who was received by the FCT Minister, Nyseom Wike, said the project is commissioned to start the season with the people of Nigeria.
“On behalf of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, this beautiful edifice is being commissioned to start this season with the people of Nigeria,” Shettima said.

The event follows the recent commissioning of major road projects in the Kuje and Dape districts of Abuja, reflecting ongoing infrastructure development efforts under the current administration.
The Vice President also congratulated the President of the Court of Appeal, Justice Monica Dongban-Mensem, who recently marked her birthday.
The Court of Appeal President and other justices were also commended for their service to the judiciary.
