The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has said Nigerians have no choice but to appreciate the current administration, citing ongoing infrastructure projects across the FCT as evidence of its performance.

Wike made the remarks on Thursday during the commissioning of road projects in Abuja as part of the FCT Administration’s 31-day project commissioning programme.

Speaking at the event, the minister pointed to the completion of major roads in satellite communities and argued that the projects demonstrate the government’s commitment to providing basic infrastructure.

“I don’t think there is anybody who is a human being, living on earth, no matter whether you like us or not, whether you like this administration or not, which you don’t have any choice to do to like us,” Wike said.

Wike said the administration had worked tirelessly to complete the projects, adding that he personally monitored the construction process through multiple inspection visits.

He also revealed that he had prayed and fasted for the successful completion of the road project, expressing gratitude that the work had been delivered.

According to the FCT minister, the newly completed roads have already increased property values in the affected areas and improved economic prospects for residents.

“When you say where is government, tell them Kuje Road is government. When you ask where is government, say Kuje-Gwagwalada Road is government. This is government we are talking about. This is government we are seeing, providing the basic infrastructure,” he said.

The minister praised the contractors for delivering the projects and commended President Bola Tinubu’s administration for its investments in infrastructure development across the territory.

He further urged Nigerians to judge the government based on visible projects and their impact on communities rather than political sentiments.

The road commissioning forms part of a series of projects being inaugurated across the FCT to mark ongoing infrastructure improvements under the current administration
