Sule Nominates Eight New Nasarawa Commissioners

Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule has nominated eight new commissioners for appointment, the Speaker of the State House of Assembly announced on Wednesday.

Speaker Danladi Jatau read the governor’s letter during plenary in Lafia, the state capital, listing the nominees for screening and confirmation.

The nominees are Muhammad Habeeb Nagogo from Wamba Local Government Area; Ahmed Yakubu Mohammed from Lafia LGA; Mohammed Baba Shehu from Keffi LGA; Mohammed Iyimoga from Obi LGA; Adamu Rabecca Kpadji from Wamba LGA; Nawani Aboki from Doma LGA; Jibril Abdullahi Ibrahim from Nasarawa LGA; and Ashefo Daniel Paul from Lafia LGA.

Jatau directed the Clerk of the House to communicate the development to the nominees and request the submission of 30 copies of their curriculum vitae ahead of their screening.

The screening is scheduled for Friday, August 7, 2026.

The appointments are subject to the successful screening and confirmation of the nominees by the State House of Assembly.
