President Bola Tinubu on Thursday met behind closed doors with governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The meeting, initially scheduled for 4 p.m. at the Council Chamber, was later moved to the Conference Room of the President’s Office and eventually began around 5 p.m.

Governors in attendance included Babagana Zulum of Borno, Hope Uzodimma of Imo, Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe, Hyacinth Alia of Benue, Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti, Peter Mbah of Enugu, and AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara, alongside other APC governors, while some states were represented by their deputies.
Although the agenda of the meeting was not disclosed at the time of filing this report, it is understood to be part of ongoing high-level consultations within the ruling party.
The session followed a separate emergency closed-door meeting between President Tinubu and expanded leadership of the Senate on Wednesday night, during which Senate Majority Leader Opeyemi Bamidele said key decisions were taken on urgent national issues after a private Senate deliberation earlier that day.
