Turkish Süper Lig club Trabzonspor announced Tuesday that they have entered formal transfer negotiations to sign Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, with the forward scheduled to arrive in Istanbul on Wednesday for direct talks.
The 34-year-old free agent hits the market following the conclusion of his nine-year tenure at Liverpool, where he scored 257 goals, won two Premier League titles, and lifted the Champions League trophy.
Trabzonspor confirmed that Salah will land at Atatürk Airport before travelling to Trabzon in the evening to finalise contract terms.

The former Liverpool forward, who recently led Egypt to the World Cup round of 16, seeks a fresh start after a quiet final season in England as Trabzonspor prepare for their upcoming Europa League play-off campaign.
