United States (US) President Donald Trump has revealed a new Air Force One aircraft, a former Qatari-owned jumbo jet that has been converted for presidential use.

The aircraft features a navy blue and red exterior, marking a departure from the traditional light blue design long associated with Air Force One.

Speaking during the showcase, Trump said the United States was seeing positive results following a recent agreement targeted at ending the conflict with Iran.

“Our country is doing so well. Those ships are flowing out of the Hormuz Strait like nobody’s ever seen before. Actually, there were a lot of them, about 700 of them, and they’re pouring out and the oil is all over the place. You’re going to see oil dropped so low. I hope the companies are happy about it. But we have, a lot of victories,” Trump said.

Trump said commercial traffic had resumed through the strategic Strait of Hormuz after the agreement was signed, helping ease concerns about global oil supplies.

The newly revealed aircraft is expected to serve as a temporary presidential plane until new Boeing-built Air Force One jets are delivered in 2028.

US officials said the Air Force will continue operating the current VC-25A presidential aircraft alongside the newly acquired jet.

The plane has also attracted controversy, with critics raising legal and ethical concerns over Trump’s acceptance of the luxury aircraft from the government of Qatar.

Despite the criticism, the administration has moved forward with plans to use the aircraft as part of the presidential fleet.
