Teenage Barcelona striker Lamine Yamal won the La Liga Player of the Year award on Friday after spearheading his club’s successful drive to the league title.
The winger succeeds his Brazilian teammate Raphinha, who claimed the prestigious individual honour in 2025.
Despite missing a significant portion of the campaign’s first half due to persistent groin issues, Yamal maintained exceptional productivity on the pitch.

The teenager ultimately recorded 16 goals and 12 assists across the 28 La Liga matches he played throughout the season.
