Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy secured a commitment from U.S. President Donald Trump to grant licences for the co-production of Patriot air-defence interceptors during White House talks on Tuesday.

Zelenskyy confirmed the agreement following meetings with both Trump and major American defence manufacturers.

Kyiv prioritised securing anti-ballistic missile production as Russia intensifies long-range strikes across Ukraine.

During the visit, the Ukrainian president also addressed U.S. senators following a memorial for Senator Lindsey Graham, where a bipartisan procedural vote advanced a new Russian sanctions bill.
