The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has suspended elections into the boards of State Football Associations in the country.

This move follows a series of complaints trailing from stakeholders about its closeness to the general elections in Nigeria.

The NFF executive committee resolved after an emergency meeting held on 26th January 2019 in a communique that the nationwide elections taking place between February and March 2019 meant the NFF electoral process in the Local Councils and States be suspended immediately”.
