Osimhen Demands More From Galatasaray Teammates

Nigerian professional footballer Victor Osimhen has urged his Galatasaray teammates to step up their performance after the Turkish champions were held to a 2-2 draw by Çorum in their opening league match of the season.

Osimhen scored both goals for Galatasaray but could not prevent the defending champions from dropping points at home.

Speaking to beIN Sports after the match, the Galatasaray striker said the team must work harder ahead of a demanding campaign that includes UEFA Champions League football.

“It’s going to be a tough season. The team is well aware of that. We need to work very hard.”

“We need to give our all on the pitch. The fans are always behind us. We need to gain momentum before the Champions League. Our fighting spirit must increase,” Osimhen said.

The 27-year-old remains the subject of transfer interest, with Arsenal and Saudi Pro League club Al-Hilal reportedly monitoring his situation.

Despite speculation about his future, Osimhen remains focused on helping Galatasaray regain form and build momentum before their European campaign.

Galatasaray will look for their first league win of the season when they visit Erzurumspor on Friday.
