Nottingham Forest are on the verge of naming Vitor Pereira as their fourth manager of a turbulent season.
The move follows the Wednesday sacking of Sean Dyche, who lasted only 114 days before being dismissed after a frustrating 0-0 draw with Wolves.
Despite Forest recording 35 shots in that match, the lack of a clinical finish cost Dyche his job.
Pereira, who previously worked under Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis at Olympiakos, is expected to finalise his contract imminently.
This appointment marks a quick return to the Premier League for the Portuguese coach, who was let go by Wolves earlier this season in November.

His immediate tasks include leading Forest in next week’s Europa League play-off against Fenerbahçe and securing the club’s top-flight status, with Forest currently just three points above the relegation zone.
The frequent changes in the dugout highlight Marinakis’s aggressive approach to avoiding the drop.
Having successfully saved Wolves from relegation in the 2024-25 campaign, Pereira arrives with experience in high-pressure survival battles, though he faces a sceptical fanbase weary of the constant turnover at the City Ground.
