Governor Muhammadu Yahaya on Saturday reiterated his backing for President Bola Tinubu during the Local Government Area Congress of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Gombe.
Speaking at Idi Primary School, Yahaya affirmed the party’s unity and focus, saying the APC remains “solid, united, and committed to delivering good governance.”
He expressed confidence that, given the party’s track record and growing grassroots support, the APC is well-positioned to secure a decisive and resounding victory in the 2027 elections at all levels.
The governor praised party members for their discipline and dedication to strengthening the APC in the state. He added that the smooth and peaceful conduct of the congress demonstrated the maturity and strength of the party’s internal democratic processes.

Yahaya also stated that the APC is a formidable political party in the country and noted that ongoing congresses would further strengthen the party’s grassroots structure, deepen internal democracy, and strategically position it for greater electoral success.
He assured members that APC-led administrations at both state and federal levels would continue to implement policies aimed at improving citizens’ welfare and living standards, urging supporters to remain committed to the party’s ideals.
The congress drew party elders, leaders, stakeholders, and members from all 11 wards of Gombe Local Government Area, with similar exercises conducted across other LGAs in the state.
