The Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu, has approved the redeployment of senior officers to key positions across the Nigeria Police Force to strengthen operations, leadership and service delivery nationwide.

The move, announced in a statement by Force spokesperson Anthony Placid, is aimed at reinforcing command structure and ensuring more strategic deployment of personnel across departments and formations.


Under the new postings, several Assistant Inspectors-General of Police were reassigned to departments and zonal commands. These include AIG Ado Emmanuel to Research and Planning at Force Headquarters, AIG Joseph Eribo to Armament, AIG Miller Dantawaye to Operations, and AIG Henry Ifeanyi Uche to Training and Development. Others are AIG Olanrewaju Ogunlowo to Accounts and Budget, and AIG Dahiru Mohammed to Zone 15, Maiduguri.

Additional postings saw AIG Dankombo Morris assigned to Zone 4, Makurdi; AIG Bello Shehu to Zone 14, Katsina; AIG Ibrahim Maikaba to Legal Services; AIG Ahmed Musa to Community Policing; AIG Olohundare Jimoh to Zone 2, Lagos; AIG Simeon Akpanudom to the FCID Annex in Lagos; and AIG Haruna Olufemi to the Special Protection Unit at Force Headquarters.

The police chief also redeployed several Commissioners of Police to state commands and other formations. Among them, CP Haruna Yahaya was posted to Jigawa, CP Olugbenga Abimbola to Oyo, CP Yemi Oyeniyi to Delta, CP Olubode Ojajuni to Ogun, CP Michael Falade to Ekiti, and CP Yakubu Dankaro to Adamawa.

Other postings include CP Muhammed Ahmed to the Federal Capital Territory, CP Olatunji Fatai to Lagos, CP Morkwap Dongshal to Taraba, CP Ahmed Bello to Zamfara, CP Umar Fagge to Katsina, and CP Hayatu Hassan to Sokoto.

Further assignments saw CP Akan Ezima named Director of NPF-NCCC in Abuja, CP Abbas Sule moved to the Special Protection Unit, and CP Ajo Geoffrey Ordue deployed to INTERPOL in Abuja. CP Mnwadiogbu Cletus was appointed Deputy Commandant of the Police Academy, while CP Danjuma Yahaya and CP Sheikh Danko were posted to FCID annexes in Kaduna and Lagos respectively.

Additional redeployments include CP Moses Ashu Otta to SWAT in Abuja, CP Abdulrahim Shuaibu to Eastern Ports Authority, CP Sarah Ehindero to FCID Abuja, CP Edwin Ogbegbghagha to Provost at Force Headquarters, and CP Preye Egbe to INEC in Abuja.

Others affected are CP Adebisi Lateef to Master Printing in Lagos, CP Bolou Etete to Community Policing under Research and Planning, and CP Ojugbele Adebola to FCID Alagbon, Lagos. CP Fidelis Ogarabe was posted to INTERPOL Annex in Lagos, while CP Theodore Obasi became Deputy Commandant of Police College, Ikeja.

CP Eloho Okpoziakpo was assigned to the Special Fraud Unit in Ikoyi, CP Kayode Magaji to K9 in Dei-Dei, CP Markus Basiran to courses at the Police Academy, CP Mohammed Babakura to Administration in the Department of Operations, and CP Silas Aremu to Safer Highway under Operations.

Also redeployed are CP Magaji Ismaila to Community Safety and Crime Prevention, and CP Rebecca Okereke as Director of Music at Force Headquarters.

The police chief urged the officers to apply their experience in their new roles and maintain high standards of professionalism, discipline and service in carrying out their duties.
