The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has announced the release of results for the 2026 First Series of the Computer-Based West African Senior School Certificate Examination for Private Candidates.
In a statement shared on X (formerly Twitter) on Friday, the examination body said candidates who sat for the exam would be able to access their results within 12 hours.
WAEC explained that the prompt release showcases its efforts to enhance service delivery through technology-driven, more efficient examination processes.
The council also appreciated the support of stakeholders in ensuring the smooth conduct of the exercise.
“The result of CB-WASSCE for Private Candidates, 2026–First Series has been released. Candidates can access their results within the next 12 hours.
“Our thanks to all stakeholders for cooperating with us to achieve this feat.”
The computer-based WASSCE for private candidates forms part of WAEC’s broader push to modernise its examination system and improve the overall experience for candidates.
Candidates have been advised to check their results through the council’s official platforms once they are accessible.
