Lagos Begins Registration for Model Colleges Screening

The Lagos State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, through the Lagos State Examinations Board, has announced the commencement of online registration for the Year 2026 Screening Test into Model Colleges and Upgraded Junior Secondary Schools with boarding facilities for the 2026/2027 academic session.

“The ongoing registration exercise will end on May 15th, 2026,” the board said in a statement on Thursday.

Parents, guardians, school owners, and head teachers are advised to complete the registration process online via the Lagos State Examinations Board portal at http://pay.examboard.com.ng/model/payment/.

Only Primary Six pupils from public and private primary schools are eligible to participate in the Screening Test.

“The Screening Test, which will be conducted using the Computer-Based Test (CBT) format, is tentatively scheduled to be held between Thursday, 4th and Saturday, 6th, 2026, at designated centres across the State,” the statement read.

“The registration fee is ₦10,000 only.”

Candidates of Lagos State origin must upload a valid Lagos State Indigeneship Certificate during registration.

The Board urged all stakeholders to “comply strictly with the guidelines to ensure a smooth and successful registration exercise.”
