Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn has declared that the anticipated heavyweight showdown between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury must take place in the United Kingdom under the strict terms of their existing fight contract.

While Saudi boxing chief Turki Alalshikh explores alternative global locations or late-night timing to maximise worldwide viewership, Hearn emphasised that the binding deal signed three months ago guarantees a UK venue unless his team explicitly agrees to renegotiate.

The promotional dispute comes immediately after both British fighters scored victories over the weekend, with Joshua stopping Kristian Prenga in Jeddah following Fury’s stoppage of Mariusz Wach in Thailand.

Joshua strongly backed his promoter’s stance, identifying London’s Wembley Stadium as the only proper location for the landmark domestic clash.

Hearn confirmed that while he values Saudi Arabia’s financial backing, he will hold organisers to the signed agreement to ensure the fight remains on British soil for domestic fans.
