Liverpool manager Andoni Iraola warned his team against complacency after the Reds fought back from a two-goal deficit to defeat Villarreal 4-3 on Tuesday.
The thrilling victory kept Liverpool perfect in their UEFA Champions League campaign with nine points from three matches, placing them alongside Paris Saint-Germain at the top of the standings while leaving Villarreal on three points.
Villarreal stunned a rotated Liverpool lineup early at Anfield, taking a deserved 2-0 lead within 30 minutes through Georges Mikautadze and Sergi Cardona.

However, Liverpool responded before halftime through headers from Alexis Mac Allister and Ronald Araujo.
Mac Allister struck 25 minutes again from time before substitute Florian Wirtz sealed the comeback, though Tani Oluwaseyi pulled one back late for the Spanish side to ensure a tense finish.

Following the match, Iraola praised the decisive impact of 18-year-old winger Rio Ngumoha, who provided two assists to spark the attack.
Iraola noted that while his squad showed great resilience under pressure, early defensive lapses almost proved costly as Liverpool shifted focus toward Sunday’s Premier League clash against Brighton.
