The African Action Congress (AAC) has formally written to President Bola Tinubu, requesting permission to inaugurate its Presidential Campaign Council for its Presidential candidate @sowore at the Presidential Villa, Aso Rock, Abuja, on November 11, 2026.
In a letter dated October 21, 2026, and signed by its National Secretary, Oshiokhue Philip Ikpeminoghena, the party also demanded food, drinks, and logistical support for 5,000 participants from Nigeria and abroad.
The AAC said its request was based on the principles of multiparty democracy, political inclusiveness, and equal treatment, citing similar arrangements reportedly extended to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
The party insisted that public institutions must serve all Nigerians without partisan discrimination and challenged the Tinubu administration to demonstrate its commitment to fairness and equal access. #AACOurParty #Sowore2027

The AAC made the request in a letter dated October 21 and addressed to Tinubu. It was signed by the party’s National Secretary, Oshiokhai Ikpeminioghena.
In the letter titled “Request for Approval to Hold the Inauguration of the AAC Presidential Campaign Council at the Presidential Villa and for Logistical Support,” the party said the event would form part of its preparations for the 2027 elections.
The party said it was seeking permission to hold the inauguration at the Presidential Villa in the spirit of multiparty democracy, political inclusiveness and equal treatment of political parties.
It also requested catering and other logistical arrangements for participants, citing what it described as similar support provided to the All Progressives Congress (APC) for a comparable political engagement.

“On behalf of the African Action Congress (AAC), I respectfully write to request approval to hold the inauguration ceremony of our Presidential Campaign Council on the 11th of November 2026 at the Presidential Villa, Aso Rock, Abuja, in preparation for the 2027 general elections,” the letter read.
“In the spirit of multiparty democracy, political inclusiveness, and equal treatment of political parties, we also request the provision of food, drinks, and other logistical support for participants at the event, consistent with the arrangements reportedly extended to the All Progressives Congress (APC) for a similar political engagement,” it stated.
The AAC argued that granting the request would demonstrate the Presidency’s commitment to fairness and equal access for political parties, as well as the principle that public institutions should serve all Nigerians without partisan discrimination.

“We look forward to your favourable consideration of this request and would appreciate information on the applicable procedures and conditions for its approval,” it said.
