The African Democratic Congress (ADC) vice-presidential candidate, Rotimi Amaechi, has challenged Nigerians to name one Tinubu administration official with a sense of shame.

“Show me one person in Tinubu’s government that has shame…,” Amaechi said this comment on Friday during an exclusive interview on NewsCentral TV.

Amaechi also criticised the administration over the country’s rising education challenges, claiming that eight million Nigerian children have dropped out of school since Tinubu assumed office.

Speaking about the impact of the government’s policies, he described Nigeria’s condition as dire.

“Nigeria is finished. Completely. What President Tinubu has done is to nail the country,” he said.

Amaechi made the claim about out-of-school children while addressing residents of Kebbi, adding that studies had shown a rise in the number of Nigerian children missing out on education since the current administration took office.

The ADC chieftain also dismissed the need to respond to criticisms from a minister in the Tinubu administration, describing the minister as his subordinate. He further said his children, all graduates, would never participate in politics or join government.

Meanwhile, Amaechi accused political actors in Rivers State of interfering with the electoral process before the 2027 general elections. He alleged that political actors influence INEC officials and security personnel to manipulate election results.

He also claimed that results are sometimes written at Government House instead of being recorded at polling units.

“This time there will be resistance,” he warned, challenging politicians in the state to allow the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to conduct elections independently.
