UN Mission Condemns Libya Terrorist Attack

The United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) has condemned the I.S. claimed terrorist attack in Sebha. Local authorities say a number of military officers were and injured others,

UNSMIL Head, Jan Kubis in a statement, expressed his deepest condolences to the families of the victims, and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.

Jan Kubis said “this is a strong reminder that the high mobility of dangerous terrorists only enhances risks of furthering instability and insecurity in Libya and the regions.”

He reiterated calls for the urgent need to start a process to unify the military and security institutions in Libya, in order to enhance the borders’ security and address the threat of terrorism and criminal activities.”
