Nigerian Music Star Sound Sultan Dies Aged 44

Nigerian music star, Lanre Fasasi popularly known as Sound Sultan has died at the age of forty-four.

The singer’s death was announced in a statement by the head of the Fasasi family, Dr. Kayode Fasasi, who confirmed that the legendary Sound Sultan died of Angioimmunoblastic T-Cell Lymphoma.

Sound Sultan is considered one of those who paved the roads in the Nigerian music industry, respected and highly-rated across board.

He left behind a wife, three children and siblings.

Sound Sultan was a lover of basketball and had many hits in his name including Jagbajantis in the early 2000s, and a host of others.
