Ghana’s Normalisation Committee confirms payment to women footballers

“We have paid the participation fee of 7500 cedis to all teams”

All the teams in the Special Women’s tournament in Ghana have been paid part of their participation fee by the country’s Normalisation Committee.

Committee memeber Madam Naa Odofoley said the teams have each received GHC 7,500 for the competition which started a fortnight ago. 

“We have all the committees for the competition in place and so far nobody has lodged any complaints. I am part of the referees committee and things are going on well,” said Naa Odofoley.

“We have paid the participation fee of 7500 cedis to all teams and as the competition progresses, they will get the rest of the money promised them,” she added.

The Normalisation Committee in their efforts to restore football in the West African Nation, designed the competition for teams in the National Women’s League.
