The African Democratic Congress (ADC) Presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has urged supporters to protect their votes and monitor election results at every stage of collation before the 2027 general elections.

Atiku made the call on Thursday during the party’s Road to 2027 presidential campaign visit to Kebbi State. He urged supporters to vote for the ADC and mobilise more people, particularly young men and women, to support the party.

He also urged them to ensure election results are properly recorded and followed from polling units to ward, local government, and state collation centres.

“Protect your votes, make sure that the results of your votes are recorded, and when they are recorded, escort them from the unit to the ward, from the ward to the local government, from local government to the state, so that they don’t steal your elections again,” he said.

Atiku alleged that the opposition had lost two previous elections through electoral malpractice, accusing supporters of failing to protect their votes.

“They stole two previous elections and you did not do anything,” he said.

He described the 2027 election as an opportunity for Nigerians to defend their democratic rights and determine the country’s future.

“This is the time to protect your votes, to protect your rights, and to protect your future,” Atiku told the crowd.

The ADC candidate also said the party was committed to promoting prosperity, unity and peace across the country.

“ADC is the only political party that is committed to these three objectives and more, to bring about prosperity, unity and peace to the people of our country,” he said.

He urged supporters to take an active role in the election and ensure that their votes count.
