The 29-year-old joined Arsenal from Manchester City in 2022 and scored 32 goals with 22 assists in 123 appearances.

Barcelona said Jesus becomes their third signing from a Premier League club this summer as the club strengthens its squad.

He joins Karim Adeyemi, Jesse Bisiwu, Joao Cancelo and Dominik Livakovic among Barcelona’s summer arrivals.

Jesus began his senior career at Palmeiras before moving to Manchester City in 2016.

He made 236 appearances for City, scoring 95 goals and providing 45 assists, while winning four Premier League titles, one FA Cup, four League Cups and two Community Shields.

He moved to Arsenal in July 2022 and later helped the club win the 2025/26 Premier League title, scoring three goals in 14 appearances.

His time at Arsenal was disrupted by an anterior cruciate ligament injury suffered in January 2025, which kept him out until December.

At international level, Jesus helped Brazil win Olympic gold at the 2016 Rio Games and the 2019 Copa América.

He has also represented Brazil at the 2018 and 2022 FIFA World Cups.
