Chelle Names Super Eagles XI For Guinea-Bissau Clash

Nigeria head coach Eric Chelle has named Akor Adams and Taiwo Awoniyi to lead the attack in the Super Eagles’ 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Guinea-Bissau.

Ademola Lookman also starts in the forward line, while Wilfred Ndidi, Frank Onyeka and Alex Iwobi make up the midfield.

Bright Osayi-Samuel, Semi Ajayi, Calvin Bassey and Bruno Onyemaechi form the defence, with Stanley Nwabali starting in goal.

George Ilenikhena and Moses Usor, who scored their debut goals against Madagascar in Uyo, have been named among the substitutes.

Chelle’s starting XI is: Nwabali; Osayi-Samuel, Ajayi, Bassey, Onyemaechi; Ndidi, Onyeka, Iwobi; Lookman, Awoniyi and Adams.

Other players on the bench include Tolu Arokodare, Nwiaiwu, Maduka Okoye, Fernandez, Ilenikhena, Isaac, Simon, Okonkwo, Chukwueze, Onyedika, Moses and Aina.
