Nollywood actress Ini Dima-Okojie has announced the birth of her first child with her husband, Abasi Ene-Obong.
The actress shared the news on Instagram on Wednesday, which also marked her 36th birthday, revealing that the couple recently welcomed a baby boy.
She accompanied the announcement with photographs taken shortly after the delivery, showing her holding her newborn son in a hospital bed as she introduced him to the public for the first time.
Reflecting on her journey into motherhood, the Blood Sisters star described the experience as the most life-changing role she has ever undertaken.
“There is no role I have ever played that has humbled me, stretched me, challenged me, or filled my heart quite like this one.
“These past weeks have been some of the most beautiful, overwhelming, exhausting, and rewarding of my life,” she wrote.
The 36-year-old described getting to know her son as “the greatest gift”, saying caring for him had revealed strengths she never knew she possessed while giving her a deeper appreciation for mothers everywhere.
“Getting to know this tiny human, the cutest boy with the sweetest dimples, has been the greatest gift. Watching him grow, learning from him, loving him, and caring for him has shown me strengths I didn’t know I had. It has also given me an even deeper appreciation for mothers everywhere,” she said.

Ini married her husband, Dr Abasi Ene-Obong, founder and former Chief Executive Officer of genomics company 54gene, in 2022.
Fans and fellow celebrities, including Nancy Isime, Chioma Ikokwu, Kehinde Bankole and Osas Ighodaro, congratulated the couple following the announcement.
Over the years, the actress has openly spoken about her struggle with fibroids to raise awareness about the condition.
In 2020, she revealed that doctors diagnosed her with fibroids in 2017 and that she initially delayed surgery while trying alternative approaches, including dietary changes and regular exercise.
She eventually underwent successful surgery in November 2020.
However, in July 2024, she disclosed that the fibroids had returned. Three months later, she announced that a follow-up ultrasound showed they were shrinking after adopting healthier lifestyle changes.
Having previously described her pregnancy as a “miracle” and a deeply humbling experience, Ini said the arrival of her baby boy marks a joyful new chapter for her family.
