The Israeli military said it intercepted a drone near the Jordanian border on Tuesday and was investigating where it was launched from.
“A short while ago, the Israeli Air Force intercepted a UAV in the area of the Jordan border,” the military said.

“The UAV did not cross into Israeli territory. The origin of the launch is under review.”
The incident comes as Jordan has faced repeated drone and missile threats since hostilities resumed between Iran and the United States earlier this month, although Israel has not been directly involved in the latest round of fighting.
In a separate development, the Israeli military said warning sirens that sounded earlier on Tuesday in the Kissufim area near the Gaza Strip were triggered by a false alarm.
