Iran Launches Drone Strikes on US Gulf Bases

Iran confirmed it has carried out a series of drone strikes against American military facilities in Bahrain, Jordan, and Kuwait, in retaliation for recent US operations targeting the Islamic Republic.

The strikes, announced on Friday by Iran’s military, mark a significant escalation in tensions across the Middle East.

“This morning, the fuel tanks, large equipment warehouses and silos, and the barracks of the US terrorist army forces at the Isa Air Base in Bahrain were targeted by Arash kamikaze drones,” the Iranian army said in a statement broadcast on state television.

Iran also claimed drone attacks on Jordan, targeting “aircraft hangars, aviation maintenance hangars and a barracks” at Al-Azraq base. Jordanian authorities have not confirmed any recent strikes.

In Kuwait, Iranian forces said drones hit US equipment warehouses in Camp Udairi, as well as the sites of American personnel at Camp Doha and Camp Arifjan.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps further asserted that the Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait was struck, claiming damage to an ammunition depot and casualties among US forces.

US Congressman Renews Call for Kanu’s Release

Tehran maintains that any facility used by US forces in the Middle East to carry out operations against Iran is a legitimate target for retaliation.

The US government has not independently verified the strikes or reported any casualties. Observers note that these developments could intensify already strained regional security dynamics.
