Israel’s Defence Minister, Israel Katz, announced on Sunday that his country will respond with full force to any military attack by Iran.
The warning follows an incident where Israeli and Jordanian forces intercepted an Iranian missile launched toward the Jordanian city of Aqaba, which sits directly across the border from the Israeli city of Eilat.
Katz noted that Israel remains prepared for both defensive and offensive action against Tehran, regardless of potential shifts in United States policy.
Later that day, Israeli Military Chief Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir echoed these vows of retaliation during an address to military commanders in the occupied West Bank.

Zamir confirmed that Israel’s Aerial Defence Array tracked the launch toward the Aqaba area and maintains a state of high alert to protect civilians.
He emphasised that forces stand ready to immediately resume combat and will act with great determination against any adversary that harms Israel.
