Lagos Hosts 2026 CORA NPL Book Party

The Committee for Relevant Art (CORA) and Nigeria LNG (NLNG) hosted the 17th CORA-Nigeria Prize for Literature Book Party on Sunday, August 2, 2026, at the MUSON Centre in Lagos.

The hybrid event celebrated the 11 longlisted poets competing for the $100,000 cash prize, offering both physical and virtual audiences an afternoon of literary readings, performances, and discussions.

Selected from 223 submissions, the longlisted authors include Tanure Ojaide, Saddiq Dzukogi, Paul Akpomuje, Ajibola Tolase, Theresa Lola, Ayo Oyeku, Tares Oburumu, Rasaq Malik Gbolahan, Adedayo Agarau, James Ugwu Eze, and Ogaga Ifowodo.

The annual gathering honours these outstanding poets while showcasing the best of contemporary Nigerian poetry on a global stage.
