The Lagos State Pension Commission (LASPEC) has directed eligible pensioners under the Defined Benefit Scheme to complete an online verification exercise between October 26 and November 25, 2026.
The exercise covers retired heads of service and permanent secretaries, as well as pensioners under the Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) and the Civil Service Pension Office (CSPO).
According to PM News, the Director-General of LASPEC, Babalola Obilana, announced the exercise in a notice issued by the commission on Saturday, urging all affected pensioners to complete the process within the stipulated period.
The commission said the verification was aimed at updating pensioners’ records and confirming their eligibility under the Defined Benefit Scheme, also known as the Pay-As-You-Go system.
LASPEC stated that the exercise would be conducted exclusively online and advised pensioners against visiting its office to complete the process.
Retired heads of service and permanent secretaries are required to access the verification portal at verify.laspec.gov.ng, while TESCOM pensioners are to use verify.tescomlagos.ng. Those under the Civil Service Pension Office should visit verify.cspo.ng.
The commission explained that pensioners must first complete a two-step login validation using their Oracle number and surname.
“After logging in, pensioners are required to select the self-service option and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the verification process.
“They must also activate their device cameras to take photographs for identity confirmation, provide their Bank Verification Number (BVN) or National Identification Number (NIN), update their personal information and complete the next-of-kin details before submitting their records,” the statement read.

LASPEC urged participants to ensure that all required information was accurately entered and submitted before the November 25 deadline.
For enquiries concerning retired heads of service, permanent secretaries and TESCOM pensioners, the commission provided Mrs Morenike Makinde’s contact number, 09053962112.
Pensioners under the Civil Service Pension Office can contact Mrs Alabi Adedamola on 08023064050, while further enquiries can be sent to [email protected].
The commission said the online arrangement was designed to allow eligible retirees to complete the verification without physically visiting its office.
Obilana urged all affected pensioners to use the designated portals and complete the exercise within the approved timeframe.
