The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) has introduced a new toll-free hotline, 3367, to enable residents report traffic incidents, emergencies and complaints about its personnel without charge.
The agency said the new short-code replaces its previous long-service line and is designed to improve emergency response, traffic management and public accountability across the state.
In a statement issued on Sunday by LASTMA’s Director of Public Affairs and Enlightenment, Adebayo Taofiq, the agency said the service is currently available to MTN, Glo and 9mobile subscribers.

According to LASTMA, residents can use the hotline to report vehicle breakdowns, road crashes, stranded tankers, disabled articulated vehicles, traffic obstructions and other situations requiring immediate attention.
The platform will also allow members of the public to report the conduct and operational activities of LASTMA officials as part of efforts to strengthen transparency and improve service delivery.
To make the service more accessible, callers will be able to communicate with operators in English, Yoruba or Pidgin English.

LASTMA General Manager, Olalekan Bakare-Oki, said the initiative reflects the agency’s commitment to deploying technology to build a safer, more responsive and citizen-centred traffic management system.
He explained that the new hotline provides residents with a direct and cost-free channel for reporting incidents requiring urgent intervention, adding that the growing size and complexity of Lagos demands a technology-driven approach to traffic management.
“The inauguration of the 3367 Toll-Free Short-Code Hotline represents another monumental stride towards institutionalising a safer, more efficient and highly responsive transportation ecosystem across Lagos State.
“It provides residents with a direct, convenient and cost-free channel through which incidents requiring immediate intervention can be promptly reported,” Bakare-Oki said.
Bakare-Oki assured residents that all reports received through the platform would be handled professionally and confidentially before being forwarded to the appropriate operational teams for prompt action.
He also urged Lagos residents to make effective use of the hotline to improve road safety and support the state’s efforts to build a more efficient transportation system.
