Makinde to Inaugurate APM Campaign Council Friday

Oyo State Governor and presidential candidate of the Allied People’s Movement (APM), Seyi Makinde, will inaugurate the party’s state Presidential and Governorship Campaign Council on Friday.

According to a statement issued on Wednesday by his Special Adviser on Media, Sulaimon Olarenwaju, the inauguration will take place at 3:30 p.m. in the Conference Room of the Governor’s Office, Ibadan.222

The statement said Nureni Adeniran, Executive Chairman of the Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board, will serve as the Oyo State Coordinator of the APM 2027 Presidential Campaign and Director-General of the state Governorship Campaign Council.

Other appointments include Saheed Arowosaye, former Chairman of Oyo East Local Government, as Deputy State Coordinator of the presidential campaign; Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Demola Ojo, as Deputy Director-General (South); Dr. Femi Ojo and Alhaji Siju Lawal as Deputy Directors-General for Oyo Central and Oyo North Senatorial Districts, respectively.

The statement added that Ramata Agberemi Dabo will head the Women’s Wing, while former Special Assistant on Youth to Governor Makinde, Kazeem Bolarinwa, will lead the Youth Wing.

It noted that additional members of the campaign council will be announced later.
