Manchester City captain Bernardo Silva revealed that his side still holds a “small dream” of clinching the Premier League title after their 1-0 victory over Chelsea in Saturday’s FA Cup final secured a domestic cup double.

The veteran midfielder, who has already announced he will leave the Etihad Stadium at the end of the current season, expressed immense pride in delivering another trophy to the club he joined back in 2017.

Reflecting on his highly decorated decade-long stint in Manchester, Silva described his journey as fantastic and voiced his desire to potentially secure one more piece of silverware before his departure.

The decisive breakthrough in a largely sluggish Wembley showcase arrived in the 72nd minute courtesy of a brilliant piece of improvisation from Antoine Semenyo.

After a gruelling match with few clear openings, Erling Haaland drove down the flank and delivered a precise cross to Semenyo, who executed a stunning right-footed flick across Chelsea goalkeeper Robert Sánchez.

The spectacular strike was enough to unlock a stubborn Chelsea defence and add the FA Cup to the League Cup trophy that City previously captured in March.

With the cup double secured, City immediately shift their focus back to a tense domestic title race, where they currently trail league leaders Arsenal by two points with only two matches remaining.

The Gunners are scheduled to host already-relegated Burnley on Monday, while Manchester City will travel to face Bournemouth the following day.

Silva credited manager Pep Guardiola with completely transforming his understanding of the sport, noting that the tactical mastermind oversaw eighty per cent of his professional career and fostered a deeply resilient relationship built on shared frustrations and historic triumphs.
