The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has unveiled the 25-player Super Falcons squad for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) as the defending champions prepare to compete in Morocco.
Head coach Justine Madugu named a blend of experienced internationals and emerging talents for the tournament, which runs from July 25 to August 16.
Captain Asisat Oshoala, Paris Saint-Germain star Rasheedat Ajibade and Brighton & Hove Albion goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie headline the squad announced on the team’s official X account on Friday.

Also included are established internationals Michelle Alozie, Francisca Ordega, Jennifer Echegini, Deborah Abiodun and Christy Ucheibe, while defender Ashleigh Plumptre is among the notable absentees.
Nigeria will be seeking an 11th continental title, having previously won the championship in 1998, 2000, 2002, 2004, 2006, 2010, 2014, 2016, 2018 and 2024.

Forwards: Folashade Ijamilusi, Esther Okoronkwo, Joy Omewa, Asisat Oshoala, Chinwendu Ihezuo, Omorinsola Babajide, Francisca Ordega, Gift Monday and Uchenna Kanu.
The Super Falcons head into the tournament as favourites, looking to reinforce their status as Africa’s most successful women’s national team.
