“Earlier today, the presidential candidate of the NDC, Peter Obi, met with former president Olusegun Obasanjo,” Umoh wrote.

The meeting comes days after former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar, presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), accused Obasanjo of making false allegations against him to favour his candidate ahead of the 2027 election.
Obasanjo had alleged that Atiku gave the late Ghali Umar Na’Abba, former Speaker of the House of Representatives, N5 million to initiate impeachment proceedings against him during his first term as president.
The allegation triggered a war of words between the two former political allies.
