The Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola, has urged party supporters across the state to mobilise voters and deliver victory for the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, in Saturday’s election.

Oyetola, who is also the leader of the APC in Osun State,  made the call on Wednesday in Inisa, Odo-Otin Local Government Area, while addressing APC leaders, stakeholders and supporters at an interactive meeting ahead of the August 15 governorship poll.

He said residents across Osun deserved equitable access to government projects and essential services, regardless of where they lived.

Oyetola assured the people that an Oyebamiji administration would promote balanced development and ensure the state’s resources were used judiciously.

He said the APC candidate would focus on road construction and rehabilitation, education and primary healthcare if elected.

According to Oyetola, every part of the state should benefit from government development initiatives, particularly in areas such as infrastructure, education and healthcare.

“We must ensure that every part of Osun State benefits from government projects and development. Our people deserve good roads, quality education and accessible healthcare.”

He also urged APC members to remain united and intensify their mobilisation ahead of the poll, while calling on supporters to participate actively in the electoral process and remain vigilant against vote manipulation and other electoral malpractices.

The minister acknowledged the support and endorsements given to Oyebamiji by former Osun State Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola, Shuaib Oyedokun and other political leaders in Odo-Otin Local Government Area.

Expressing confidence in the APC’s chances, Oyetola said growing dissatisfaction with the incumbent administration would work in the party’s favour.

He urged supporters to ensure that their backing translated into actual votes on election day and that the party’s votes were protected.

The meeting was attended by APC leaders, stakeholders, party members and supporters from across the area, with a large crowd welcoming Oyetola and his entourage to Inisa.

Oyetola reiterated the APC’s commitment to securing victory for Oyebamiji and delivering what he described as balanced and effective governance for the people of Osun State.
