A devastating gold mine collapse in southern Sudan has killed at least 82 people and injured 50 others, according to a Rapid Support Forces source.
Rescuers are using rudimentary methods to search for an unknown number of miners who remain trapped beneath the rubble.
The tragic incident occurred in a region under the control of the paramilitary group.

The source, speaking on condition of anonymity, confirmed that emergency efforts continue despite severe resource constraints on the ground.
