The 14-time Grammy Award winner said she has loved the Toy Story characters since the first film premiered in 1995.

Toy Story 5 is scheduled to hit cinemas worldwide on June 17. The movie follows Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and their fellow toys as they face new challenges posed by modern technology, including a tablet.

Fans had speculated for weeks about Swift’s involvement in the film after a countdown timer appeared on her website, set against a background similar to the wallpaper in Andy’s bedroom in the original movie.

Last week, billboards featuring the same background and the initials “TS” appeared in major cities across several countries, further fueling rumours of a collaboration. Swift’s announcement has now confirmed her role in the highly anticipated Pixar sequel.
