TikTok removed more than four million videos and interrupted over 86,000 LIVE sessions in Nigeria during the fourth quarter of 2025 as part of efforts to strengthen safety on the platform, the company said on Tuesday.
The social media platform disclosed the figures in its Q4 2025 Community Guidelines Enforcement Report.
TikTok removed 4.02 million videos in Nigeria for violating its Community Guidelines during the period under review, the report said.
The company said 99.9 percent of the offending videos were detected and removed proactively before users reported them.
It added that 98.4 percent were taken down within 24 hours of posting.
The platform said the figures reflected its growing investment in automated detection technologies and rapid response systems aimed at curbing harmful content.
Over 175.3 million videos were removed from TikTok worldwide during the quarter, accounting for roughly 0.5 percent of all content uploaded to the platform.
Over 152.5 million of those videos were eliminated, according to the company, using automated detection tools.
About 8.4 million videos were later reinstated following further reviews.
TikTok noted enforcement actions on TikTok LIVE, with the company interrupting more than 86,000 LIVE rooms in Nigeria for breaching community guidelines.

Worldwide, TikTok issued warnings, demonetised content and took other enforcement actions against more than 17.7 million LIVE sessions.
The company also acted against 9.2 million creators who violated LIVE monetisation policies.
According to TikTok, warnings are designed to educate creators and enable them to correct content that may breach platform rules.
TikTok reported stepping up efforts to address damaging and deceptive content produced by artificial intelligence.
Realistic AI-generated images, audio, and video content must still be labelled, according to the platform.
To find such materials, it used industry-standard Content Credentials technology and automated detection systems.
Over 1.3 billion AI-generated videos have been labelled worldwide, according to the company.
By fusing cutting-edge moderation technologies with the knowledge of thousands of trust and safety experts worldwide, TikTok reaffirmed its dedication to offering a secure online environment.
The company stated that it would keep working with civil society organisations and government agencies, such as the Office of the National Security Adviser, to promote safer online environments and counteract dangerous content.
