Nigerian President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial capital, after visiting Kenya, France, and Rwanda.

Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, in a statement issued on Friday night, said the president’s plane landed around 7:12 p.m. on Friday at the Presidential Wing of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Ikeja, where he was received by his Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, and other government officials.

While he was out of Nigeria, he met with global investors and highlighted Nigeria’s potential. In France, he explained the rationale behind the economic reforms his administration has initiated.

After leaving Kenya, he joined other African leaders, investors, and Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) of global and African companies at the Africa CEO Forum in Rwanda, where he discussed practical ways to accelerate Africa’s economic transformation.

He also met with Rwandan President Paul Kagame, delegations from multilateral and multinational companies, including the International Finance Corporation, APM Terminals, and the Winme Group, with notable favourable outcomes.

Onanuga disclosed that Tinubu will participate in the All Progressives Congress primary elections, which will commence on Saturday.

“He had earlier, in a statement to party faithful, called on all participants in the primaries to ‘keep the peace and be ready to play as sportsmen and women in the overall interest of the party and our country’,” said Onanuga.
