Many tourists are feared dead after a helicopter crashed in Kenya’s northern Samburu County near the popular Samburu National Reserve on Wednesday.
Sources said the aircraft, which had seven people on board, crashed near Mount Ololokwe, about 217 miles (350 kilometres) from the capital, Nairobi.
One source confirmed the incident to Kenyan newspaper The Star, saying no one survived.
“I can confirm an accident has happened, there are no survivors,” the source said.
Police and government officials have yet to confirm the number of casualties.

Officials said tracking data showed that the Eurocopter EC130 B4 was completing a flight from Loisaba to Ewaso Nyiro when it crashed.
The Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) said the incident occurred at about 9:13 a.m. local time.
Another source told news site Kenyans: “There was a helicopter that has fallen. It is quite deep and far, but do send urgent help so that people can be rescued.”
The Ministry of Roads and Transport’s Air Accident Investigation Department is leading investigations into the crash, according to the KCAA.
“The Authority extends its deepest condolences to the families of the victims following this tragic incident,” the KCAA said.
