Nigeria’s apex bank has increased the maximum weekly limit for cash withdrawals across all channels by individuals and corporate organisations to N500,000 and N5million, respectively.
The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) said this in a statement addressed to banks on Wednesday.
CBN said it took the decision following feedback received from stakeholders.
Weeks ago, the CBN set weekly cash withdrawal limit to N100,000 for individuals, a development that was greeted with conflicting reactions across the sector.
