Two Nigerian Teenagers Trafficked to Ghana Rescued After Joint Investigation

Two teenage boys from Lagos, Nigeria, who were trafficked to Ghana under the guise of job opportunities, have been successfully rescued.

Ghanaian security officers, following an in-depth investigation led by News Central, raided the location where the boys were held and apprehended one member of the trafficking syndicate.

This development comes after News Central reported on the plea from the mothers of Daniel and Zeal, residents of Ikota Resettlement Estate in Lagos, urging authorities to expedite efforts to locate and rescue their children, who were lured by unidentified individuals promising employment.

News Central’s special correspondent Marshall Ononye, currently stationed in Ghana, provided this update. News Central collaborated closely with the Ghanaian police, conducting a series of reconnaissance and intelligence operations. This coordinated effort ultimately led to the successful rescue of both Zeal and Daniel.
