The Nigerian government is preparing to launch a more efficient and streamlined system aimed at improving the country’s import clearance process. This move is part of a broader effort to fully integrate with the National Single Window Project.
Dr. Innocent Barikor, Director General of the National Environmental Standards and Regulations Enforcement Agency (NESREA), shared this development during a meeting with Dr. Tola Fakolade, Project Manager of the National Single Window Project, and his team at NESREA’s headquarters in Abuja.
Dr. Barikor revealed that the agency has upgraded its system to a dynamic model designed to enhance productivity and facilitate better collaboration with other key systems, including the National Single Window Project and the B’Odogwu platform of the Nigerian Customs Service.
He praised Dr. Fakolade and his team for their efforts in promoting a unified platform to facilitate trade and reiterated NESREA’s support for the initiative.
In his comments, Dr. Fakolade explained that the visit was part of ongoing efforts to onboard NESREA into the single window platform, which aims to simplify and expedite import processes for businesses and government agencies alike.
